A new addition to our Original category; an archetypal coffee, an original gangster of the specialty coffee world…. Sumatran grade one Mandheling. We had a few requests for this and it’s a fitting addition to the category.
This coffee is produced using a processing method unique to indonesia called “Giling basah” or Wet Hulled. Developed to cope with Indonesia’s hunidity to allow for better and more effective drying after removal of the parchment layer. The result of the process is a coffee with earth, tobacco and spice notes on top of chocolate. A winner through espresso machines.
This coffee is also included in our intro to specialty coffee box as one of 4 classic flavour profiles from historic coffee producing origins.
